The 2024 Paris Olympics 25m Pistol Gold Medalist Yang Ji -in (Korea National University) won the international competition medal in the air gun.
Yang Ji -in won the silver medal at the 10m Air Pistol Women’s General Festival in the 16th Asian Shooting Championships held in Simkent, Kazakhstan on the 19th.
The women’s general team, including Yang Ji -in, won the silver medal in the team.
Yang Ji -in’s main sport is a 25m pistol that uses gunpowder. However, he participated in the air pistol stocks on the day. In shooting, air guns and gunpowder guns are different. Air guns are fired with compressed air, so there is almost no recoil when triggering. On the other hand, the gunpowder gun is so reactionary and needs to be reacted through muscle strength and posture.
The 10m air pistol women’s junior department also achieved impressive results.
Han Seung -hyun (Woo Seok -dae) took second place and Kim Ye -jin (Southern University) took third place, while Kim Joo -ri (Korea National University) was also ranked 8th.
