In the Women’s Professional Basketball (WKBL) Asan Woori Bank, Kim Dan-bi was selected as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the first round of the 2024-2025 season by Hana Bank. Danbi Kim received 55 out of 95 votes in the reporters’ vote. In women’s professional basketball, Busan BNK swept through the first round, and the best player came from Woori Bank.
BNK’s Park Hye-jin and Ahn Hye-ji followed with 28 and 12 votes, respectively.
Danbi Kim played in 5 games in the first round, playing an average of 37 minutes and 13 seconds, scoring 26.4 points, 11 bounced balls (rebounds), 4.4 assists (assists), and 3.2 interceptions (steals). He ranked first in the league in scoring, blocked shots, interceptions, and contribution. As a domestic player, he also set a record of scoring more than 30 points in three consecutive games in 23 years since former national team coach Seon-min Jeong in 2001.
The top player of the round will receive a prize of 2 million won.
