Gimcheon Manager Lee Dong -joon (28) became a father. Along with Deuknam, we have a greater responsibility and prepare for the new two acts of football life.
Lee Dong-joon was replaced in the second half of the 30-minute home game in the 26th round home game of FC Seoul and Hana Bank’s K-League 1 2025 at the Gimcheon Stadium on the 17th, and scored the team’s fifth goal in the second half of the 45th minute.
Prior to the game, Lee Dong -joon received a big gift. On the 9th, his wife gave birth to his son during the 25th round away game. After the Seoul War, he said, “The original date of birth was two days later, but the wife’s lancubiles were suddenly began on the morning of the game. If it was a day before the game, I would have been to see my wife.”
Lee Dong -joon started in Gangwonjeon and played for 14 minutes in the second half. The kickoff time was 7:30 pm and the son was born at 8:14. “The child was born during the first half. I didn’t know that because I couldn’t use my cell phone even though it was a half -hit. I saw the picture my wife sent me after the game. I was really happy. I still don’t believe it.”
After the game, he immediately climbed a bus from Gangneung to Busan and ran to a postpartum care center with his wife and child. “I was really excited on the bus for five hours. I was heavy because I couldn’t be with me on the day, but thank you again for my wife who gave birth to a healthy and stubborn birth.”
Lee Dong -joon grew through age -specific teams, and in 2021, he scored 11 goals and 4 assists in Ulsan Hyundai (now Ulsan HD) and became the top winger of the K -League. Since then, he moved to Herta BSC in Germany, but he did not shine as expected. He was enlisted in April last year and played in Gimcheon.
The son’s name has not yet been decided, but Tae -myung is ‘positive’. Lee Dong -joon said, “I think I scored a goal thanks to my son in Seoul today. Now I have to run more for my family.” ‘Positive Dad’ Lee Dong -joon looks at the second act of soccer life with a greater responsibility.
