Hong Jung -min (23) won the Korean Women’s Professional Golf (KLPGA) tour season with overwhelming shots. For four days, 31 birdies have been sweeped.
Hong Jung -min won the final 29 under par 259 strokes by reducing nine birdies and two bogies in the fourth round of the Medihill and Hankook Ilbo Championship (1 billion won) held at the Mongver Country Club in Pocheon, Pocheon, Gyeonggi -do on the fourth round. It was a perfect championship with nine strokes from the second place Yoo Hyun -jo (20 under par 268 strokes).
As a result, Hong Jung -min won the second championship trophy in three months, following the Chris F & C KLPGA Championship in May. The winning prize is 180 million won. Hong Jung -min also set the minimum record of KLPGA 72 hole. The previous record was 23 under par 265 strokes recorded by Kim Ha -neul in 2013 at MBN and Kim Young -joo Golf Women’s Open. Hong Jung -min also changed the most under par records in the 72 -hole. However, with the last day, two (5th hole, 17th hole), the tour of the first 72 -hole Novoi was not achieved.
After the game, Hong Jung -min said, “(last night) I couldn’t sleep well because I was a little nervous. “I missed it because I missed it, but I had a regretful heart.” Hong Jung -min, who had had a hard time due to autonomic nervous system disorders, panic disorders, and skin allergies last year, said, “Thank you for being able to play on this stage because it was very sick.”
